CASE STUDIES FROM THIS EMPLOYER

Natasha Howden preview

Natasha Howden - Tesco Graduate Trainee

The scheme comprises four functional placements and two store placements. So far I have spent time in the Press Office, in store, and the Corporate Responsibility (CR) team. I am currently working in the International Corporate Affairs team.

Matt-Paton

Matt Paton - Tesco - Merchandise Planner, Fashion

It’s the fast paced, dynamic and diverse nature of Tesco that first attracted me. You have plenty of opportunities to cross over into different areas of the business.

Louisa-Dowson

Louisa Dowson - Tesco - Support Office

The working environment is founded on trust so there’s an expectation that you’re ready to deliver no matter how new you are! The great thing is the level of support that you receive from immediate teams and functions around the business in delivering.

Jo-Lockett

Jo Lockett - Tesco - Marketing Manager

...firstly I wanted to work for a big, national company. It had to be big for the reason that I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, so working for a big company meant I could move into other areas. Second, I chose Tesco because I’d worked on the shop floor at Marks and Spencer, and knew I liked retail. Wanting to work for a big retail organisation led me to Tesco.

Paul-Cabry---Tesco---Financial-Executive

Paul Cabry - Tesco - Financial Executive

I am responsible for reporting and analysis for our stores. This means I'm the link between the stores and the finance team and have to let them know how they perform compared to their budgets. All transactions in store are recorded centrally in a management recording system. I go into the system, bring out all the numbers and report back to stores on their daily trade.
