Real World Awards 2009

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Real World Awards?

Now in its eighth year, the Real World Awards celebrate the achievements of students who have shown energy, attitude and commitment to extra-curricular, work or community based activities.

Real World is looking for students who have gone that extra mile and made the most of their time at university. This year, in collaboration with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Anjool Malde Memorial Fund, we’ve taken the Awards one step further and are offering not only a cash prize of up to £6,000 but also the chance for five students to gain a coveted summer internship at Enterprise Rent-A-Car..

There are two categories this year: Enterprising Graduate of the Year and Student Personality of the Year. Any student can apply and we want you to tell us what you’ve done at university that demonstrates your potential. This can include work experience, participation in clubs, organisations or sport, community activities and classroom projects.

What do I win?

For Enterprising Student of the Year, the prize is five remunerated summer internships awarded between January and June 2010. Prize money of up to £5,000 will also be awarded in September 2010.

The internships will last between eight and twelve weeks and will take place during summer 2010, at any of Enterprise’s 340 plus locations around the UK.

It is possible to win both a summer internship and a cash prize. You will also be part of a feature in a forthcoming edition of Real World Magazine, and national and regional media coverage.

For Student Personality of the Year, the prize is £2,000.

How do I enter Real World Awards 2010?

Once you have submitted your entry, you will get a ‘Thank you’ message confirming your entry has been received.

I'd like to enter, what is the closing date for entries?
