The variety of roles for graduates in retail is vast, and the high street can provide a fast-paced career. It can be a challenging place to work because of its unpredictability. While shopping can be an emotive and impulsive experience for the customer, retailers are always working to make sales a ‘sure thing’.
Graduate merchandisers are in charge of making sure the correct quantity of products arrive at the store at the correct time, setting the price, and ensuring that profit is made.
