REAL WORLD MAGAZINE EXPANDS INTO EUROPE UNDER NEW OWNERS

Contact: Thibault de Chazal, +44 203 514 2062, thibault.de.chazal@realworldmagazine.com

Real World, the UK’s leading independent voice for students in the graduate recruitment market, is set for rapid expansion both in the UK and across Europe following its acquisition by Potentialpark, the international group specialising in understanding employer branding and recruitment communications.

The move will build on Real World’s reputation for delivering engaging and tell-it-like-it-is careers advice both in print and online by expanding operations in the UK and by publishing international content in three languages across Europe.

The deal represents the culmination of the relationship between Real World and Potentialpark, who have been collaborating on projects since 2009.

Potentialpark’s founder, Torgil Lenning said ”Real World’s editorial quality, originality and independence have been highly regarded over the last 12 years and we plan to take that unique vision, voice and content out across Europe. We’re creating a new platform for students, universities and employers to start communicating more directly, informing each other and building closer relationships. Just watch this space.”

Real World Magazine was started in 1999 by Darius Norell, who commented, “This is an exciting new chapter for Real World. Potentialpark’s international reach, their deep understanding of the market and their social media expertise is set to give clients an unrivalled offering.”

Norell, who will continue to support the Real World team on strategy, will be free to concentrate more fully on the learning and development ventures he has been working on over the last 5 years, in particular The Spring, a 10,000 square-foot training and recruitment centre in London, which is the base for the Spring Project, a wider initiative addressing youth employability.
