Graduate Jobs - Full Time Graduate Opportunities within Indirect Tax with PwC @ PwC

Company PwC
About PwC
Be part of something special. Join the organisation that’s been voted number one in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey for the last eight years. You’ll enjoy exceptional business exposure, build wide-ranging skills and life-long relationships, and gain valuable professional qualifications.
Tax
Learn everything one of the UK’s leading tax practices can teach you. Your know-how will help companies and the people who run them decide how to raise finance, where to set up offices, how to reward their people and much more. But you won’t just react to immediate needs. You’ll also use your initiative and industry insight to solve complex, long-term problems. We have a number of specialist teams that you can work in.

A position in Indirect Tax provides you with the opportunity to work within a department covering an arena which is increasingly growing ever more complex.

You’ll advise businesses on VAT and other indirect taxes, including international trade issues linked to Customs and Excise Duties. Indirect tax may be technically demanding, but above all it’s commercial and rewarding. There’s enormous variety too, ranging from purely UK activities to multinational, global projects, and from developing more efficient internal processes to working on a merger or acquisition. We’ll give you early responsibility plus the opportunity to test your strengths and abilities. And as indirect tax is still relatively new and continuing to evolve, the challenges are ever-changing.
Professional Qualifications
You'll learn and develop the specialist skills our clients look for and value most. This includes studying towards a professional qualification, with support from us all the way. After you've qualified, you'll have the option to look for new challenges, perhaps in others areas of the firm to deepen your knowledge, or you could choose to stay put - whichever suits you best. It's your choice.
We’re looking to recruit a mix of individuals working towards one of the following professional qualifications:
- a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or
- an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW), a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) or a Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI).

What makes us different
In short, this is your chance to enjoy a huge variety of experiences, develop an enormous breadth of skills and build relationships that will stay with you throughout your life. Like all PwC people, you can also look forward to a competitive salary and a personally tailored benefits package.
Who we look for
- A 2:1 or above in any degree discipline
- A UCAS tariff of at least 300 (or equivalent)

Equally important will be your ability to build relationships, to put yourself in others’ shoes and make a positive impact on our clients and us, while shaping your own future.
Exceptional exam results or exceptional potential?
But maybe you don’t have the grades we’re after because you’ve invested time in extra-curricular activities that show you’re exceptional. If so, you could still join us. ‘Inspired Talent’ is our entry route that recognises exam results aren’t the only way to prove you have potential.
