THIS VACANCY IS SITUATED IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND IS SUBJECT TO FUNDING

We are looking for someone with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Business Information Systems (min. 2:1) to take ownership of this challenging and demanding role; working at the company with academic support from the university. Your task will be to develop a new capability, within a new business area, using innovative Graphical User Interface (GUI) approaches for the presentation of complex information using a variety of different devices to the many different user communities with differing levels of ICT expertise across an airport. The key aims will be to:

? Analyse the target user communities? information requirements and review the literature concerning human machine interaction.
? Define user interface roadmap, and fully costed project plan
? Deliver a working demonstrator and fully documented software tools to support live customer solutions.
? Generate user feedback and acceptance through workshops, customer visits and attendance at trade events.

We are looking for someone who is able to use their initiative and take ownership of the project to drive it forward. The candidate should be able to demonstrate previous experience in delivery of a database backed web project, including database creation and web application design, development and testing (planning and execution). The successful applicant will be proactive, self motivated and enthusiastic, possessing good presentation and communication skills.
