Company PwC
About PwC
Be part of something special. Join the organisation that’s been voted number one in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey for the last eight years. You’ll enjoy exceptional business exposure, build wide-ranging skills and life-long relationships, and gain valuable professional qualifications.

Tax
Learn everything one of the UK’s leading tax practices can teach you. Your know-how will help companies and the people who run them decide how to raise finance, where to set up offices, how to reward their people and much more. But you won’t just react to immediate needs. You’ll also use your initiative and industry insight to solve complex, long-term problems. You’ll join one of three specialist teams:

In Corporate Tax you’ll help clients - from the world’s largest multinationals to budding entrepreneurs and high-wealth individuals - manage the tax they pay. You’ll tackle a broad range of work that includes multinational advisory projects, tax compliance and researching business issues that affect clients’ tax affairs - all while keeping pace with regularly changing tax rules.

In Human Resource Consulting Services you’ll help some of the world’s leading employers make the most of their biggest asset - their people. You’ll work on everything from international pensions to communications, employment law and employee incentives to tax compliance. If you’re particularly numerate, you could help clients focus on the best way to reward their senior employees, using financial modelling skills to analyse their incentive designs.

In Indirect Tax you’ll advise businesses on VAT and other indirect taxes, including the international trade issues linked to Customs and Excise Duties. It’s a highly commercial, ever-changing and extremely wide-ranging field. You could be involved in purely UK activities or multinational global projects, working on more efficient internal processes or on a merger or acquisition.

Your training and development:
Our people make us stand out as a firm. So we choose the best and invest heavily in them. You’ll benefit from the encouragement, opportunity and support which includes:

- Our graduate training programme helps you gain breadth as well as depth of knowledge and build a portfolio of valuable, transferable skills.
- Movement throughout the firm ? you’ll work in different teams and offices, experience different clients and projects; try out new roles and even sample other business areas. It will all help you develop along a path that fits your goals as well as the ever-changing needs of our business.
- Support to gain a professional qualification ? study towards becoming a Chartered Accountant* with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and Wales (ICAEW) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). Or you may have the opportunity to study towards a specialist tax qualification such as the Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

What makes us different
In short, this is your chance to enjoy a huge variety of experiences, develop an enormous breadth of skills and build relationships that will stay with you throughout your life. Like all PwC people, you can also look forward to a competitive salary and a personally tailored benefits package.

Who we look for
- A 2:1 or above in any degree discipline
- A UCAS tariff of at least 300 (or equivalent)

Equally important will be your ability to build relationships, to put yourself in others’ shoes and make a positive impact on our clients and us, while shaping your own future.

Exceptional exam results or exceptional potential?

But maybe you don’t have the grades we’re after because you’ve invested time in extra-curricular activities that show you’re exceptional. If so, you could still join us. ‘Inspired Talent’ is our entry route that recognises exam results aren’t the only way to prove you have potential.
