Consult with clients and help design solutions to fit their online business needs.

A good overall technical understanding as well as a passion to help customers build their online presence.
How did you know you wanted a career in technology?
I have always been a closet geek! I have always enjoyed playing around with technology and getting under the hood of all things geeky. Moving into technology and ultimately hosting has given me the opportunity to keep up with some of the latest and greatest technological ideas. Working in sales gives me the opportunity to get hands on with some great online ideas and actually help make an idea become a reality.
What would you like to be doing in ten years time?
Ideally I want to be in my MD’s seat! Working here, I believe gives me all the tools and knowledge needed to run a successful hosting company. PEER 1 Hosting’ ethos and strategy is one designed around the customer and doing what’s right by them; one of our values is “if in doubt, do the right thing”. With a company ethos like that backing you up, it seems very hard to go wrong!
What’s the best thing about your job?
There are so many things I love about my job and company. I obviously love technology and have a passion for it so that gets two thumbs up! But I also love the fact that I can wear what I want to work. Too many places force you to wear a suit when you simply sit at a desk all day! What’s the point?! Here, we are able to wear what we want which creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Right now I am writing this whilst wearing shorts and flip flops! Other things like the fact that we have a games area with an actual putting green, free food day, free drinks and breakfast whenever we want, day off for your birthday, unlimited coffee with the PEER 1 coffee bean makes it an amazing place to be. Oh, and did I mention we have a view over the marina from our top floor office?!
