Graduate News - A Durham's Masters Will Help Your Career Reach New Heights
The period following graduation from an undergraduate degree is one of the most crucial in your life - decisions taken at this point will alter your career path and irrevocably change your life.
In the competitive environment of business and finance, organisations are increasingly selective in their choice of employees. Whilst a good first degree will provide a strong foundation for career development, a Durham Masters aims to give you a head start by providing you with general and specialist knowledge that can be applied in a wide range of organisational settings, and a skills toolkit much valued by employers. Together, these can help you gain a competitive edge in an over-crowded job market and optimise your chances of an accelerated career path by becoming a more knowledgeable practitioner.
You'll also obtain a qualification from one of the UK's leading academic universities and top ranked business schools.
The one-year, full-time programmes provide a framework for critically analysing the nature, processes and practices of management and finance. Academically challenging, they are designed to help you develop the skills and knowledge that employers demand. All the programmes are accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and can be used as a platform from which to progress to study at PhD level.
