Full Time Opportunities in Actuarial - Autumn 2009
| Company | PricewaterhouseCoopers |

London, Midlands, North, Scotland, Bristol
Actuarial work is highly analytical and technical, but one of the greatest skills you need is the ability to make this knowledge accessible to non-technical people. This makes Actuarial a stimulating and challenging career choice, especially with the excellent business and technical training we offer. You'll join Actuarial and spend the first two years developing specialist skills in your chosen team and studying for professional qualifications. After that, you'll have the option to look for new challenges in others areas of the Actuarial team, or you could choose to stay put - whichever suits you best. In a lot of ways actuarial work is 'risk management'. We use complex financial and statistical theories to analyse the likelihood of events - anything from a hurricane to a wholesale IT systems failure - and their financial implications for our clients. It's a challenging and highly technical area, made even more so by the fact we have to present our complex findings in easily digestible formats that clients can use to help them protect their interests. Requirements: At least a 320 UCAS tariff or equivalent and a 2:1 or above in any degree discipline |
