The Southwestern Company offers a Sales and Business Management Training Internship to students during the summer.

Students learn the principles of running their own business including how to keep accurate business records and the importance of providing good customer service.

In addition students receive training on relationship building, problem solving, how to motivate themselves, maintaining a good attitude and working as part of a team.

The programme also gives students the opportunity to become independent and self-confident and develop a number of transferable skills.  In order to qualify for this internship, students will need to be studying at degree level and have their entire summer free.

The Southwestern Programme is designed to imitate ‘real life’ to prepare students for the competition when they graduate, regardless of what they study.  Therefore, selected students will need to be willing to work hard during the summer in order to be successful.
