Few careers are more sought after by graduates than those in the media, so graduate jobs in this sector are notoriously difficult to get. Even starting salaries of 14,000 are not enough to deter graduates from the profession.
The best advice for graduates considering a media career is to get involved at university; the student paper, radio and TV stations are there for you to learn from. Apply for as much work experience as possible. Both these things will help you learn which aspect of the media best suits your skills.
Graduate journalism and media careers are out there, it just requires a lot of work to find them.
