ABOUT THIS EMPLOYER

Graduates joining Kier with a degree in a construction related discipline are able to take advantage of what is well known to be one of the best graduate training programmes in the UK. We encourage graduates to obtain chartered status with their professional institution.

Supervision of your training and experience in the first four years after graduation is achieved with the support and help of a dedicated training supervisor who is responsible for your development, and will keep in touch with you throughout your training. Regular discussions are supported by the supervisors’ report on how you are getting on, which will allow training officers to monitor your progress and give advice on training needs.

As well as the invaluable experience that can only come from being in at the deep end, in a hands on role on a number of different projects, there are lots of opportunities for off the job training. The focus is always to help you to be as successful as possible, enjoy your work and eventually achieve professional chartered status.

Our graduate and managers’ development programmes will ensure that you attain the skills necessary to progress through to senior management positions within the Group as soon as possible. These programmes work in conjunction with the training schemes and highlight the emphasis on staff development.
