Thales

ABOUT THIS EMPLOYER.

Careers to make the most of your skills.

You may not know our name, but it’s one associated with the spirit of adventure. Thales is not only a world leader in innovative aerospace, space, defence and security solutions. We’re also a key player in everything from Britain’s rail network, in which we operate 95% of Network Rail’s telecommunications infrastructure, to the National Lottery, building and operating their ticket terminals’ communications infrastructure.

Software Engineers

From submarines, tanks and surveillance aircraft to chip and pin terminals and the London Underground, your software expertise could soon be hard at work in both the defence and civil sectors. As a Software Engineer you will help develop software systems across all phases of their development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration and verification. You will liaise with Systems Engineers, internal/external users and other key stakeholders while working on high profile projects, such as Rational Rose and DOORS.

What’s more, you’ll further develop your skills in our exceptional graduate programme, fine tuning your C++, Java and ADA – and you’ll have the option of working towards a professional qualification such as IET and CEng. This is your chance to help us stay at the pioneering edge of high-tech science and software engineering in a career that will equip you with skills and experiences as unique as your talents.

Just bring us a BSc 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, together with passion, commitment and vision to match our own. When you join you’ll find this an ideal opportunity to put your adventurous nature to the test in environments where like-minded professionals share ideas, successes and rewards – so expect the highest-quality learning and development, exceptional career mobility, and the best tools and working environment in our industry.

Start your Thales adventure today by going to our website.

All candidates should apply listing their grade break downs. Due to the nature of some of the work which our client is involved in, candidates must be able to achieve security clearance. This unfortunately means that only UK citizens need apply.
