Banking & Finance covers a massive range of jobs including financial controller, risk manager, product analyst, branch manager with lots of other positions available the deeper you go down the rabbit hole, be it public or private banking.
Different roles obviously require different skills but most potential employers look for people who work well under pressure, with great people skills and a technical mindset. Extra-curricular activities are also often looked for by banks and may increase your chance of gaining a 'golden hello', or graduate scheme, which will improve your starting salary and the qualifications you gain. However, the industry is extremely competitive and late nights are usually a certainty.
